This Thursday, Friday and Saturday, we’ll bring you all the new and interesting developments from the Cruise 3Sixty convention being held here in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia. Organized by the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), Cruise 3Sixty is geared largely toward the travel agent community, but is the second-largest gathering of cruise industry professionals after the pinnacle Cruise Shipping convention held each March in Miami.

We’ve also got some new Ship Tours and Hotel Profiles coming this week, including our recently-completed tour of the Turnberry Isle Miami, which proved itself to be an amazing pre-and-post-cruise destination with its resort-style amenities and fantastic location sandwiched between Fort Lauderdale and Miami.

Then, from July 5 to July 17, we report live from Alaska, as we partner with Vancouver-based Cruise Experts Travel to escort their custom Southbound Alaska Ultimate Cruise Tour.

Join us here each day as we travel from Fairbanks south, through the breathtaking wilderness of Denali National Park, on to Anchorage, Whittier and Princess CruisesCoral Princess. This kind of in-depth exploration of Alaska is all new to me, and I can’t wait to take on the challenge – and take you all with me.

Where are we heading in August? We can't say just yet - but this spectacular Italian city will be our starting point! Photo courtesy of Wikipedia

August is also proving to be very exciting. We can’t tell you where we’re going just yet (that wouldn’t be any fun!), but we can tell you it involves the sun, sea and intoxicating history that only Italy and the south of France can provide. As for the ship, well, you could say we’ll be sailing into the Italian sunset.

It all starts this week, here on From the Deck Chair!

The brew cruise should be a lot of fun! I should be able to take the wraps off the other one before too much longer :)
