A World Of Luxury

Recently, I had the chance to revisit ultra-luxury line Silversea’s elegant 382-guest Silver Shadow during her turnaround in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and I had but a single goal: to check out her upper-category suites. What I found was surprising: rather than being carbon-copies, each suite had its own subtle shifts in design and décor. No two had the same personality or feel – and that’s a good thing.

Although these photographs were taken onboard Silver Shadow, they would be representative of the same suites aboard her sister-ship, Silver Whisper.

There are but two Medallion Suites aboard the Silver Shadow, both located on Deck 7 just forward of the Midship staircase. Numbered 735 and 736, these suites are 521 square feet in size, with a veranda that comes in at 81 square feet.

In addition to the increased size over the standard Veranda Suites, these Medallion Suites also feature an enclosed bedroom with French doors that can open up into the living room, which contains a large desk vanity area, and a separate seating area with a couch, two chairs and a small table.

A walk-in closet and marble bathroom are standard, as are the Bulgari Green toiletries and all of the standard Silversea amenities like full butler service, a full pillow menu, Pratesi linens, and streaming interactive content that can be accessed on your laptop, iPad or iPhone.

If you’re looking for more space without breaking the bank, it’s tough to go wrong with these luxuriously-designed suites that also feature Bang & Olufsen audio systems and Illy espresso machines.
