Carnival has been pioneering the cruise industry for nearly forty years now, and in the process they’ve learned a thing or two about providing an affordable cruise vacation designed to exceed passenger expectations.  Together with in-house designer Joe Farcus, Carnival has managed to create ships that have their own distinct and unique personality – a trait that is growing increasingly rare in the industry, and one of the reasons the line refers to them as “Fun Ships”.

We recently had the opportunity to tour the Carnival Splendor in its Long Beach, California homeport.  After traversing every deck and snapping plenty of photos, we’re hard at work putting together a comprehensive ship tour  featuring over one hundred photos that will be available starting this Sunday – only on From the Deck Chair.

Until then, here’s a few quick “teaser” photos!
